The Rota Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Guam’s Toys for Tots representatives and the Rota Mayor’s Office, hosted an extraordinary fundraiser at the 2023 Bisita Luta Festival, igniting the holiday spirit and rallying the community for a heartwarming cause. With carnival booths, colorful attractions, and the tireless efforts of volunteers, the event was an incredible success.

The Bisita Luta Festival, a cherished annual celebration on the island, took place on October 6th and 7th this year. Among the festivities, the Rota Chamber of Commerce orchestrated a unique fundraising initiative with all proceeds going toward purchasing toys for the Toys for Tots distribution on Rota.

The festival grounds buzzed with excitement as the Rota Chamber’s carnival booths came to life. With a ring toss booth, a balloon pop booth, and face painting booth, the event offered something for everyone. The friendly atmosphere and array of entertaining activities drew visitors of all ages.

In a heartwarming show of unity, Toys for Tots representatives from Guam travelled to Rota to lend their support and volunteer at the booths. Their dedication to the cause added an extra layer of enthusiasm to the event and further strengthened the bond between these two communities.

The fundraiser’s success was beyond expectations. Through booth sales and generous donations from festival-goers, the Rota Chamber of Commerce raised an impressive $1,300. This sum will be used to purchase a variety of toys that will bring joy to local children during the upcoming holiday season.
