Rota, CNMI – The Rota Chamber of Commerce has once again demonstrated its commitment to community involvement by making generous donations to two significant local events held earlier this year. The events were the 1st Annual Mini Carnival in Celebration of Library Month on April 12, 2025, and the Mayor’s Office Easter Egg Hunt on April 13, 2025.

“We are honored to support these community-driven events that help bring residents together, especially the youth and families of Rota,” said Charlene Manglona Ogo, President of the Rota Chamber of Commerce. “Our contributions reflect our ongoing dedication to the local community, and we are proud to play a role in creating positive, lasting experiences for our residents.”

The Rota Chamber of Commerce contributed to the 1st Annual Mini Carnival in Celebration of Library Month held on April 12, 2025. This event, designed to promote literacy and community engagement, featured various interactive activities for participants of all ages. The donation helped cover logistics, supplies, and prizes, ensuring the event’s success.

Brigett Maratita, Library Assistant 1 and one of the event organizers, shared her thoughts on the collaboration: “The Rota Chamber support played an amazing role in helping us achieve our goals for the 1st Annual Library Month Mini Carnival. Their outreach helped us connect children, families, local businesses, and, most importantly, foster community engagement. The support ensured and allowed us to create a vibrant event that highlighted the importance of libraries in a fun and memorable way, especially for our children.”

On April 13, 2025, the Chamber also donated to the Mayor’s Office Easter Egg Hunt, a much-anticipated annual tradition that brings joy to children and families. The event fosters community spirit and provides a fun, safe environment for children to participate in Easter-themed activities. The Chamber’s donation assisted in funding event supplies, prizes, and logistical support.

The Rota Chamber of Commerce remains committed to supporting the social and cultural development of Rota.
